That's a gutsy group. They played us tough last year, and they did it again (Friday).

We got beat by 20 last year. We got some quality kids here, they're gutsy, they're not all basketball players but they're gutsy. We'll be ready.

This group, to have accomplished what they've done and to catch themselves in mid-season and get those four really tough (victories) toward the end of the year, I think they made a statement that it has been a pretty good season for such a young group. That's a tough group in (that locker room).

On paper, sure, we should win Friday. But we still have to go down there, come out with emotion and execute. This group has played outstanding basketball for the duration of the season. I don't think a lot of people saw us being in this position at this juncture. But they've worked hard and believed in themselves, and Friday they have a chance to go out and get themselves some hardware.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink. A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. Our seniors have made it to this game every year, if not farther. This has been a successful group and I'm certainly disappointed for them that we didn't win, because we played so hard, but I could never be disappointed in this group. They've achieved so much this year and have done so much as a group, they'll always be special.

We played a lot of tough people on the road, played in some tough environments. We're used to it. We're gonna battle. It taught us how to battle, how to overcome a bad call by the umpire, how to overcome the mistakes that we make. We could've folded our tents early, saying we won (Friday). But in this conference, you can't give in.

(Crossett) did beat us on the road and we kind of feel like we owe them one. Crossett's not bad. They've played a lot of people tough this year. So we'll get back to practice the next few days and get ready for Friday night.

What best players? ... Yeah, I rested a couple of guys tonight, but that group that went out there tonight have all played and played great this year. I'm not taking anything away from that group that played tonight. They were magnificent.

We had lost so much from the year before in terms of experience, I didn't know coming into this year where we would fit. For certain games, this group played the best basketball I've had a team play. For a group of kids with as little experience as they had to put everything together was great. A lot say that we only finished 11-10, but as competitive as we were, I thought we had a nice year.

It was a gutsy win. We need points. (Friday) night, we were a little bit deflated. I thought we showed a lot of character coming back.

I am so happy for this group of kids because of all of the adversity they have suffered throughout this year. They really pulled together, and it is just a special group. ... It's really tough to see them go.

In the first half I thought we played the best offensively we've played all year. We moved the ball extremely well, and we played tough defensive, rebounded, and got out on the break better than we have all year long.
