Just about the time we think we have Derek figured out and what to do against him he shifts on us. Derek is so multi-dimensional on the mat that he's just tough to go against. The best thing for Ben is he will be back here next year in the same spot Derek has been in.

If there's something very close and it looks better to the golfer, then maybe they're going to feel better with that. Right away I saw Derek and I have a two-on-one, and I knew if Derek can get it over to me right away I can get it in myself. I think the puck kind of rolled on Derek, and he had to settle it down, and once he passed it to me I think the goalie kind of read it, so I knew if I hold onto it for a split second and just give it right back Derek would have a pretty good chance on an open net.

It was a great time to do it. Derek Hendrickson gave our team a huge lift. He came in and went right at their hitters and kept the game close. Derek did exactly what we asked him to do and then Nick came in and did a great job and held them where they were.

Everything was in the golfer's favor this morning. No wind. Perfect weather. Greens, superb condition. What more could you ask for?

Ben Warner is a great individual and a great wrestler. He is the one guy that really had a shot at beating Derek this year. This match was proof of Derek's ability. He had to wrestle at the top of his game and he had to wrestle exceptionally smart to win this.

It's definitely a golfer's market out there. The golfers are expecting more quality playing conditions for less and less money. That's why if you get a golfer on your course, you don't want to do anything to make them go somewhere else.

It was kind of every golfer's dream. You make a putt to win a tournament and walk off to shake the hand of Jack Nicklaus. It's a golfer's utopia.

We made the most of three first-inning runs. The reason: Derek Lowe. For the fourth game in a row, he's been phenomenal. Not good, not great, but phenomenal. I can not say enough good things about Derek Lowe.

When I first saw him swing, I knew he had this potential. He's definitely got the best swing of any junior golfer I've ever seen. His fundamentals are perfect as far as I can tell.

Obviously we're disappointed for Derek because we care about him so much. But mistakes happen. Hopefully we can advance. If we do, hopefully Derek will have an opportunity to play.

I'm not sure if it was a matter of Derek getting better protection or him just settling in, or both. But we started clicking and Derek was throwing some great balls.

I have no problem with Derek still being here at Pittodrie. He is a great professional, a real credit to himself and the club. But If Derek did stay, it would have to be as an extra striker.
