en For this year anyway, without question, the competition was there and the boys were up to the task today. They came back and shot a good number.

en The boys team is a real mystery to me right now. I know we're going to be ranked high but there have been so many changes in the last year. en This is probably the best camp we've ever had. The ideal number for the camp is about 70 each for boys and girls. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. We send out 100 invitations, trying to get that number. This has been a great year for the boys. We had 94 this year, the most we've ever had.

en In the boys, Jamestown could have five in the top 13. After that, it's a logjam. There's a wider spread of boys from different schools. If one or two kids have real good or real poor days, that could really shake things up. Depth is our strength there. We believe our boys have a good shot at second.

en They were really good in transition up and down the field. At the end of the first quarter, we tried pulling out for the last shot, took a shot, they took it back and got a goal. They did it at the end of the second quarter. Transition was the big difference today, they were very good at it. They are by far the best team we've played this year.

en I am really proud of how far this team came this year. I really want to give our players a lot of credit. I think of this as a positive experience for the team. I thought we had a good shot to win today, but we just didn't get it done. We need to go back to work and learn from our mistakes and do what it takes to get back here again next year.

en Yesterday, Ryan had one bad hole and shot an 80. Today, it was two bad holes, but an 82 is still good. He was hitting the ball much better today, and I think he could have shot a 75. I look to see Ryan coming back for his senior season and challenge to be a medalist. He showed his talent today.

en The boys competition I think is a lot more of a level playing field. And I think the fact that we won last year was just a tribute to the boys stepping up and racing. I don't think anybody thought we were going to win that.

en A good showing (for us) on the road in a tough place to play against good AA competition. Basically, they shot the ball very well. The (Bobby) Howard kid hit a number of threes (three) against us.

en I thought if I shot 63 today, it would be a pretty good number, ... It's certainly out there. If I play like I did today and make some putts, I can shoot a low one.

en Definitely I think our No. 1 singles in boys and No. 1 doubles teams have a shot at getting to the state tournament. Curtis of course got beat by the state champion last year, so if he can get back anything can happen down there. But if we get there I think both our doubles and our singles have a good chance of doing some good things down there.

en It's not surprising that teams get into it, that's part of the whole team competition. I thought I did a good job of not getting too caught up in it. Everybody kept worrying about everything except what was going on the court. I was able to take it back and focus on the task at hand.

en I think competition is good. I think competition is outstanding. In this game here, you never have it made. That's why pitchers have a record. That's why players have batting averages. That's why last year's dead and gone. That's why yesterday's out of sight, too. Today's what we're doing.

en Any other year, it wouldn't be a question that he would be going number one or number two overall. He's the best defensive-end prospect to come along since Julius Peppers - who has turned into a pretty good player at the pro level.
