The future of the free, open and innovative Internet we have all enjoyed through the years is not guaranteed. If the bill before the House Commerce Committee gives control of the Internet to the telephone and cable companies, the Internet we have come to appreciate could well cease to exist, and it will be almost impossible to get it back.

The state numbers have come down significantly, from around 28 percent in 2002 to approximately 10 percent in 2005. That is still too high; it means that one in 10 children under 18 is still allowed to purchase cigarettes. The closer that number gets to zero, the better.

There has been conflict with ICANN about who should govern the Internet. We wouldn't be surprised if the Internet became fragmented, because some areas of the world really don't feel included.

These figures suggest that a large number of smokers are purchasing their cigarettes through alternate channels such as across state borders or over the Internet.

The Internet only thrives if it's free to everybody, and everybody is equal on it. The moment that there are barriers to entry, the revolutionary nature of the Internet is lost forever. Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel comfortable and at ease in your presence. Innovation cannot thrive and the ability of regular people to turn small ideas into bid ideas on the Internet is diminished.

People are surprised when they come into the shop. Most don't realize we are here yet. When they do discover us, they are surprised and pleased with what we offer.
