en The good thing about Daytona was that between the (Bud) Shootout, the Duel and the 500, the guys who were working on our California cars were in Daytona a couple of times. We were all able to get together and talk and know where we were with everything. We were able to communicate one-on-one about some of the issues that we've had in getting these cars ready for California.

en I told them (the other drivers) I admired them and appreciated them because they're out racing these cars for people to see. These (cars) aren't hangar queens. They (the racers) are very selfless about sharing their love for these cars with everybody here. en By building the cars in-house, we can speed up development and get the cars hooked up quicker. We can convert stock cars to ST race cars in approximately two months. Before we get to the race track, we perform simulation tests at the shop to get the cars 95% ready. It's more efficient and allows us to create the right package.

en The guys in the shop are really working hard to get all the cars ready for the first six races. Ricky Pearson is a great leader, with lots of contacts and resources. After the Daytona test, we had to do some massaging on the bodies of the speedway cars but the guys stayed on-task and got the intermediate cars ready for Vegas and they never missed a beat.

en I don't know if that is quite the same. Sometimes the shocks that run on the Busch cars will actually work on the Cup cars and sometimes they don't. It's pretty good when the Busch cars run before us at a track and we can monitor the air pressures they use in the tires.

en As they're sorting cars for each destination, the locomotive or the set of rail cars has to go back and forth ... and change the routing of rail cars to another track, . It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. .. I know it's very frustrating to see that.

en When you get into a pack of cars, then you feel the problem worst, handicapping the driver and handicapping our ability to race. When there's a crosswind, the cars suffer badly as well, which makes them even more difficult to control. They are always fun to drive, but motor racing should be about the best drivers racing the best cars, which offers the best challenge, and my feeling now is that we have come to a bit of a cul-de-sac.

en I think that it will make for one heck of a weekend. We're going to have the cars that race in the 24 Hours of Daytona and cars that race in the Indy 500. I think that that makes for about as good a show as you could ask for.

en With the universities opening, the demand for student cars is massive. Buyers are looking for model year 2003/4 cars. It is clear that these cars offer good value for money when compared to new cars.

en When I first came here there was a lot of solicitation, guy standing on the corner. Late nights -- cars passing by -- hand shakes being handed off...women being rushed in and out of cars.

en I was saying that in April, 'Don't lose sight of them,' ... The cars that are in front of us are great cars. For them to stumble, they're not going to do it to many times. If we don't make moves on our merits ... we can't really wait on them to stumble because those are cars that don't stumble,
