Coach Price's defense won ordtak

en Coach Price's defense won again. Coach Knox was struggling to get any movement at the line of scrimmage and didn't get any points on the board.

en I'm always worried about them. I know they're coached well. Coach (Mike) Briggs is a good coach, and they have two former head coaches on that staff. They've got a couple of kids that the Shrine Bowl is looking at tailback and wide receiver, so you know they can put points on the board.

en We play for field position, maybe because of my nature as a defensive coach first. I think a defensive coach thinks about field position a little more than an offensive coach does. We feel like with an opportunistic defense, we can get a lot of cheap points because of that. It's always better to make a team go 80 yards than 50.

en Coach (Tyrone) Nix is always talking about how your position's on the line every scrimmage, so you want to come out there and prove yourself.

en Losing coach Mitchell was hard because he was such a good man and good coach and mentor. But coach Hill hasn't lost a beat. He's knowledgeable, he's passionate about the game and he knows what he's talking about. He wants us to be better. We didn't lose anything there. As far as the scheme, it's taken some getting used to ? that happens any time ? but we're learning it quickly. I think it will be a formidable defense when we learn it.

en It hurt when Coach McDowell left because he pushed me to work hard. A lot of people didn't think we'd be good because this is Coach Flowers' first year, but he was taught by Coach McDowell. Coach Flowers is a little more calm than Coach McDowell. Coach McDowell would get after you.

en It didn't turn out as well as we would have liked, of course. We only (had) three points on the board. The defense put us in some positions where we should have put more points on the board, but we didn't do it. We know that we need to correct some mistakes and get better than we were tonight.

en All we can do is put our best ones out there and see if we can slow them down and take them on at the line of scrimmage, ... The one worry you (have) as a coach is when you've got everybody in the box you can have and you still can't stop them; you're hands are tired. That's what hopefully doesn't happen.

en We have to stop the run and control the line of scrimmage. They (Harrisburg) are a very good team. They have a ton of confidence with (coach) Al Way back.

en I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.

en We definitely want to meet the new coach. Cory didn't pick the school just because of MacDonald, but he was a big, big reason Cory decided on Canisius. If we feel it's a good fit with their new coach, he'll probably stay. Otherwise, we're back to the drawing board a little bit.

en Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. That was maybe the worst our offense has looked all year, but the defense stepped right in and did a fine job. Our defense got burnt for 53 points and about 400 yards against U.M.S. and every week since then they've gotten better and have improved. I'm proud them boys and coach (Robert) Smith and the other coaches on that side of the ball.

en Our front four got some tremendous pressure in the backfield. Coach Foster said that we should make sure to play behind the line of scrimmage the whole game. That made the linebackers' job a lot easier.

en I knew previously they had a scrimmage and I talked to a coach who was at the scrimmage. (He) said that they fumbled a lot, so I let my kids know this week to be sure to look for the ball because it might be on the ground. They saved us a few times by giving up fumbles.
