en One of the deals coach Durham and I cut was that if Sean kept his grades up, we'd allow him to play. He's done that in the fall. We're pulling for him, and we're excited for him that he can help the baseball team out. Overall it seems like he's done a very good job of handling both.

en It's been quite easy, believe it or not, because when you have mutual respect for one another, it's a give-and-take situation. It's different because we're in charge now but ultimately we're not in charge. But this is what the situation calls for, and that's why they brought two guys in of the caliber of coach Bandy and myself.

en We didn't totally fold it in ? I give them credit ? our guys battled. We were able to come back and make it 5-1. We had some fire and I thought maybe we'd be able to get a run going and chip away at it. It just never happened tonight.

en Oklahoma Christian is a good basketball team and we didn't give them anything easy tonight. It was kind of like a boxing match tonight. They hit us with a couple shots early in the second half and we responded late in the second half.

en Every coach likes turnovers because you can get easy baskets. That turned out to be a huge advantage for us tonight. On offense we didn't worry so much about the posts but focused more on shutting down the outside shots.

en Last season was the most restrictive on record. This year, we're hoping we just have some sort of season. But it's not going to be easy pulling a rabbit out of that hat.
