So we're kind of in between, and I think no matter how good you pitch, we've got so many weapons, there's a way for us to break through and we haven't.

en We had an excellent effort tonight. We lost facing one of the top pitchers in the area. We made a lot of contact, but we just couldn't get hits when we needed them. We did a good job defensively. If we keep that kind of effort we will win some games.

en Our bowlers did a great job and we expected to chase the target as we were in a good position at one stage. But there are still six matches to go.

en I don't think [the performance of the pitchers] is much of a shock. We have a good staff and I think our coaches and teammates almost expected it of us.

en I thought we did pretty good for our first game. Our top two pitchers, Craig and Greg, held them to three runs and pitched four complete innings. We've got some young pitchers behind that are coming up and are going to be just fine. They just need some more time on the mound.

en I think these games will really help us. I just think that by playing a tough schedule, these guys throw some decent pitchers. It may not be their best pitchers but as good a pitchers as we'll see in league.

en We just had to match his intensity and bring a little more than he had. As much as we had to chase him off screens, he had to run off them, so he was getting tired. Our big men did a good job bumping him when he was trying to curl off them, and it was just a team effort.
