en We (Europe) aren't finished with the planets. We're planning to go back to Mars and we're planning also to go to Mercury, one of the most mysterious of planets very close to the Sun.

en There are two major possibilities. One that they formed in the innermost, hotter-most regions of our solar system when the sun and planets were forming, and they were thrown out -- all the way out to the Pluto region of the solar system. The other possibility is they were formed around other stars, in hot regions around other stars.

en It's a close relation. In the regions, where they had the votes, they are regions in which they were the only ones who could campaign.

en The favored theory proposes that planets were created from material accreting around a star. Around red dwarfs, the theory predicts Earth- and Neptune-sized planets to be more common than Jupiter-sized planets. The planets would be located between 0.1 and 10 times the Earth-Sun distance from their stars.

en Hubble is working great right now, and in fact, we are doing everything we can to keep Hubble operating as long as possible and as productively as possible.

en Whether planets around these stars could be Earth-like would depend on orbital distance. There have been extensive studies and it turns out these planets would have to be pretty close to their stars, although it would depend on the mass of the stars.

en A re-examination of Hubble images taken on 14 June 2002 has essentially confirmed the presence of both P1 and P2 near the predicted locations based on the 2005 Hubble observations.

en It shows what's possible with the combination of a massive ground-based survey and the imaging capability of the Hubble. Our fondest hope is that this is a poster child for why we need something like the Hubble.
