en I don't think Jeremy was sharp. Velocity-wise he was fine, but location he was not. He didn't have it. We got pounded. Honestly, it could have been worse. We scored in three innings and all three times we gave up runs. It's another nail in the coffin for a team that is already kind of fragile. It was not pretty.

en On special teams, we weren't very sharp. They scored three goals on the power play and we didn't have any. Five on five, we can play with anybody, we know that. I don't think we're a worse team than them. Maybe less talented, but worse? No way.

en I think today kind of typified (his season). Not great, runs early in the game hurt me all year, gave up some today. Home runs have hurt me all year, that's how they scored two of their runs. There are times I got on a roll but never for more than a few starts in a row. That's probably the most frustrating part.

en We jumped out early. We were up 5-1 going into the sixth. You don't want to let a team like St. Mary hang around and that's what we did. We didn't put the nail in the coffin.

en We got pounded tonight, no question. Jeremy (Bonderman) was not sharp and fell behind hitters. It just wasn't his night. They got back on track and we just couldn't stop them.

en In pitching, location is a key ingredient. So many young pitchers have velocity. But location and movement factor into that, too. You'd rather be optimum in location and movement than velocity. Bryan's really learned to embrace that, which has helped him to be a much better pitcher and in control of his delivery.

en We're not able to put the nail in the coffin so to speak, just adding on. All crucial runs, all stuff that comes back to bite you later. We must be gluttons for punishment I guess.

en The Fed is very happy to see this kind of stabilization, but they're going to be worried about inflation and credit. Honestly, I think the Fed understands how fragile a position the economy is in because when you slow down this fast it sets a lot of stuff in motion. They want to get ahead of that and make sure it doesn't get worse.

en Jeff is the kind of person we are looking for. He runs a very good operation, and he's already well-known for his Sharp Edge location in the East Liberty area.

en I thought we didn't play well. I thought Caron played well. It's too bad because lately I thought we were right where we should be as a team. But (Saturday) a lot of players disappointed me. Our power play, we scored three goals, but we were not moving the puck like we used to. Penalty killing was not sharp; defensively we were not sharp. All-around, our game, it was one of those nights. The team was not sharp.
