en Marquette has had a lot of close matches with teams that we've had close matches with. So we knew it was going to be a close match. In addition, they are very strong at doubles. They've beaten two teams that we've lost to for the doubles point. So going in, we knew they were pretty strong at doubles.

en Obviously, 600 doubles is a heck of a lot of doubles. I am real proud of it. I remember hitting 500 at home, and who knows if you are ever going to get to 600?

en Coach has been telling us that we pretty much have to win out. We've got that mentality now, and we're just playing strong. It feels real good [to have two doubles]. I haven't done that in a while.

en I was especially pleased with the doubles against Western Michigan. I thought it was real important that we take the doubles point in that match.

en Again, we kind of struggled in doubles. We had a couple of chances, especially in second doubles. Third doubles was up 3-0, and then the other team went on a little run. Second doubles was up 8-7 and just weren't able to pull it out.

en Doubles has always been a big focus of ours. We feel like if we can scrap up the doubles point somehow that we're going to be a really tough team to beat. It has been a real momentum boost for us in the last few matches.

en All three doubles teams played very well. Our No. 1 doubles (Greg Janssen and Todd Fuller) got off to a slow start but managed to turn the match around when they needed to and came back strong in the second and third set.

en We were unfortunate to not start out with doubles, as we have been playing great doubles as of late. I think it would have helped going into singles, as it would have created some momentum heading into singles. Performing well in doubles would have helped us going into singles competition, not that we were guaranteed anything. They made us play and were the better team today. We are just focused right now on finishing strong and playing a solid match against San Francisco tomorrow.

en We have two real strong players at No. 1 doubles. John Coleman is a freshman who is certainly a force. He's a powerful player. He has a serve over 100 miles an hour. I think they're going to be a good team.

en The doubles did us in. They swept us in doubles. They've been tough in doubles ever since they entered the league. We have a lot of young guys playing doubles. They just don't have the playing experience, the freshmen in particular. We have two seniors, but also two juniors and two freshman.

en It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

en We line up pretty well against West Lafayette. They have a strong No. 1 doubles team, but their No. 2 doubles is weak, so if we can get one of those and at least two of three singles, we should win. They have the advantage at No. 3 singles though.

en The highlight today (Sunday) would definitely be our doubles play. I thought in our doubles we played pretty gosh darn well. We hung in there and stayed strong and did some good things today.

en I'm hoping that they make it to the final. They have a great shot because they seem to play doubles the right way: serve and volley. Most doubles teams are just singles players playing doubles. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. [Hough and Handy] were doubles players in the past, so they know what to do. They have the requisite strategy.
