I am so happy for this team, for Mike Shank and for Mark Patterson. Everything went almost perfectly, and to come so close to winning this race I think really gives us a lot of confidence looking to the rest of the season. To be racing with this team and with Mark is an opportunity that I am very thankful for, and I just can't wait to get the rest of the season going.

We would love to be in Fogelman, in our own city with our own fans for the entire season, but we are thankful to Texas A&M for giving us the opportunity to begin our season at their place. We're here (in San Antonio) for the rest of the year, but we don't know where the rest of the home games will be played. For now, we're trying to find apartments and gain some kind of familiarity and get our schedule set up day-by-day. It's a process. We're getting there. Next week, we'll be back to normal, except for our home games.

Guys stepped up tonight. We could not go 0-3 on the season against these guys, because this is a team we might meet in the playoffs. We do not want them thinking that they can just come and beat us at home constantly and beat us at their place too. They are a good team. We are a good team, and we played well to get a win.

I'm not mad, sad because they told me I made the team 100 percent and they turn me out. They told me I was staying in a Marriott hotel and that we'd be working out at 5:30 Friday.

I have always said Texas would be my home years ago, and I've been trying to get here, and somehow the storm just pushed me here, but I am thankful.
