en I had a good taste early this year when both Shaq and Mike were out and I was called upon to play a few minutes here and there.

en He's just really been focused. He's had the talent all year. Early in the year, he didn't understand how hard you have to play at the college level. But the last half of conference season, he's really given us good minutes.

en We played well early. That would kind of make you think the guys were obviously ready to play and there was nothing else on their minds. During the first five or six minutes, we were about as good as we've been all year.

en Mike Devine has done a great job. He played all of 30-some odd minutes (34:22 to be exact) last year as a freshman. en This is a recipe that we've used all year. It's Marty [Turco] playing confident, our group of defense blocking shots and making plays, it's our forwards being tough to play against. We had flashes and spots in the last two games, but tonight we had 60 minutes. We've shown all year that if we play 60 minutes, we can be a really good team.

en I want to get out there with my teammates and see how it goes. I'll play as many minutes as I can or as many minutes as coach (Mike Brown) will allow me.

en We've struggled all year to play for 40 minutes. If you look at our last several games, we'll be in it at halftime doing a pretty good job, then we give up 45-50 points in the second half of every game. Somehow, we've got to find a way in the future to play 40 minutes.

en We controlled the first 10 minutes. Mike had three really good chances. The rest of the game was really tight. In the final minutes, we were just holding on.

en I don't know if Shaq called him; it could have been the other way around. Double-check who called who and then I think the whole thing might change around a little bit. But that's friendship more than anything else. I can assure you Shaquille wouldn't have went public with it.
