en I thought we played really well and stronger as the game went on. I was happy with the depth we showed tonight. We have a lot of players playing really well right now.

en When you get into a national tournament at the end of the season, you know you're playing good teams. This is a team that is used to winning and it showed tonight. They're very confident and very good at how they play. They played the game played at their pace.

en Jesse competes very well. We haven't been playing a lot of defense behind him. Tonight our defense showed up and played behind him. I thought he did an excellent job on the mound.

en We hung in there, it was the type of game I expected it to be. I thought all along we were a dangerous team and I think we showed that tonight. I'm disappointed that we lost, but proud of the way we played.

en We didn't have anyone else hurt us tonight, but we were our own worst enemy tonight. I thought we played scared tonight. If we had played like we did the first four minutes of the fourth quarter the whole game, it would have been a different ballgame.

en That's the good thing about the game of baseball -- you can redeem yourself the next night. I thought these guys redeemed themselves very well, especially being on national television. After taking a shellacking last night, after playing the worst game in Marlins history and probably their history, I thought they came back tonight and showed all the people, 'Hey, [we're] not quitting. [We're] not giving up.' We may get beat, but we're not giving up.
