What I stated was that the Kurdish people are ready to welcome American forces in order to protect the Kurdish people in the region.

Let me be frank, fighting the current Turkish government is an insult to the Kurdish people. This is a terrorist act. This is against the process of democracy in Turkey. This is only in the interest of the enemies of the Kurdish people…

The target was not the Iranians. The Iranians are sportsmen, like all the other teams. That's why we don't need the Army to be involved.

The regional plots that pushed some Kurdish parties against other Kurdish parties are about to come to an end.

The Shiites in the south and the Kurds in the north would need to join together, but the Kurds are more interested in independence. Iran, Syria and Turkey are unlikely to support an independent Kurd state because of their significant Kurdish populations, and others in Iraq will not support overthrowing Saddam if they think it will result in a breakup of the country.

The biggest disappointment is that oil is not getting out of the north which is supposed to be Kurdish-controlled.

We know the history of Hussein, and we know he is a bad actor, ... We know he's had weapons of mass destruction and used them against Iranians and used them against the Kurds in his own country, and he would use them against anybody else, too.
