en I thought Emily did a fantastic job all weekend. She has become what she was at the end of the year last year. She is becoming the complete pitcher. Not only is she physically gifted, but she understands how to pitch now and not just throw.

en Up through my freshman year, I just loved gymnastics. As a sophomore, then my junior and senior years, I started to get burned out. That was when the whole scholarship thing became an issue. I figured I had done gymnastics for so long and worked hard enough that I couldn't stop now.

en Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. Our defense has played against Tiff Weimer for four years now, Melissa Miller and Emily Francis know her, and they are going to be the two responsible for trying to handle her. She is a pretty difficult player to contain, and it starts with just containing her. She is a hell of a talent, it's an honor for us to have her here in her senior year and have this opportunity to play with her.

en I think I'll be better this year in every aspect. This year there was more of a mental approach to camp and the playbook. Last year I was learning on the run, but this year if I make a mistake I know exactly what it is. I'm playing with more mental confidence.

en A lot of these kids get rated in their junior year. There's a lot that happens between a kid's junior year and their senior year in terms of maturity, development and understanding the game. ... The ratings and all those things, that stuff never bothers me because we're going to make our evaluations.

en I thought last year was a miraculous year for him. And he definitely earned my respect last year as to what kind of pitcher he was, what kind of person he was, what kind of competitor he was.

en Emily has been around our program for the last two to three years and knows what we do. I feel very fortunate that she will play here for two years. She can be an outstanding junior college pitcher.
