We are entering a pre-FOMC lull. Rumors and speculation are what's driving the market at this point in time.

Rumors and speculation have taken over the market.

Some growers will have the plantations maintained at a basic level, and if there is a niche, or a lull in the market, they will cut that fruit and put it into the market for high prices. This is as big a lull in the market as you can possibly get.

We knew it was coming but there were some rumors of a possible 50 basis point cut (a half a percentage point) and every time that happens it sets us up for disappointments. The reality is a very large majority of people don't know how to react to this so they're taking their cue from the market. It's really indecision.

There would be speculation regardless. Every time a job opens, there's going to be the rumors.

The market is reacting to new threats out of Nigeria and some strike rumors in Europe. But for this time of the year, this is nothing new. As we approach the summer driving season we tend to play out the worst case scenarios in our heads.

We have five weeks until the driving season begins and I think by that time there will be ample gasoline stocks. Gasoline and oil will slide and rise together. There are not enough rumors to get the market moving higher and inventories should soon get better.

Time Warner doesn't comment on rumors and speculation.

People are waiting for the next catalyst. Earnings are done, the Fed is in a neutral stance. There's nothing big coming up in the next month, so the market will continue to trade on rumors and speculation.

My thesis is not we're entering a bear market, we're entering a new kind of market. We're entering a market where the secondary stocks, which have less risks, and unpopular stocks will probably do very well.
