en We held well and they didn't have any great chances. It clicked because we got that second goal. Confidence came into the team, we were trying things and I thought it was good.

en I thought we were awful for the next three or four minutes after that early goal. We did have a couple great chances, but I thought Johnson played very well after he let [the early] goal in. But I thought that's when we were our sloppiest, after that goal. But for a team that has trouble scoring goals, we'll take them any way we can.

Regardless of how they scored their first goal, (they had) chances before that to get on the board. That's something we're waiting to see our team put together.

en Our power play hung in there. Even though we didn't get the ultimate reward of a goal, we had possession time in the offensive zone, we had shots, we had scoring chances. If they're working at it and doing the things you need to do to create chances but not scoring, it's still positive for your team.

en Going into to the game, I knew I had to step it up. There's no sense hanging your head about it. You've got to go out and do the little things and help the team win. Last game I felt good, but didn't get too many chances. It feels good to get the first one. I knew it's only a matter of time before I notched my first goal and got a few points.

en I thought we played really hard. We had a significant amount of scoring chances. We didn't finish with as many as we'd like. I thought we did a lot of good things.
