en It was a great day for me. You just go out and hope you can have a good round and hopefully get into contention. Then you post a [low] score and the guys become a little hotter.

en Our big guys are playing great right now. They're doing a really good job of getting post position early and getting good looks. I know Chris and Al and Jo, I guess they're all shooting real high (percentages). Any time our big guys can score like that it helps out the perimeter.

en Ryan's been great. I still want him to be more aggressive on the post. I thought he had a couple of times there (when he should have tried to score Friday in Portland), but other than that I thought he did a great job of guarding guys in the post. He is quick to react to the ball. There were times I felt he was reacting to the ball before it hit the rim.

en I didn't have my best round today. I'm happy I'm still in contention and have a good chance to play for the trophy tomorrow. I hope the birdies I didn't make today, they drop tomorrow. I feel good. It's OK to be a couple of shots back.

en That's the strength of their team - their post guys. Those guys are very, very physical. They post hard, they play hard. They do a great job of creating space and getting angles. We had that two years ago when we had Godwin. That's why we were so good. He was a load to guard down low, and he opened things up for our guards.

en I think Tara played a really good round, considering this is her first collegiate event. Elaine played a good round but had one bad hole, which really hurt her score. Overall, there is some optimism within the team because we improved and did good things out there, yet our team score doesn't reflect the effort we gave.

en Junior Olympics is just on my path. This was a stepping stone for me. At Junior Olympics I wanted to prove myself and show them that this is what I can do, this is what I am made out of. Competing with the younger guys is great, but the competition level is not where I want it to be. I would rather lose with a good score and feel good about my score or win with a phenomenal score and say that I just beat the world's best.

en You hope for the best. Guys come and set goals and they want to become very, very good — the best at what they do. When you're picked in the first round that's a pretty good indication.

en Our best case scenario for today was to have four guys in the championship finals and six guys score total. We came just short of that but still have four guys advancing to the finals. At this point, they got the job done. We needed four guys in the finals, and they are there. Tonight, I am going to tell them to have fun and relax. We had some great dives. Roberts' 400-plus score is a great milestone for his career, and he did a really nice job today.

en It was a good round until I got to No. 17 and then it turned into a great round. I was holding on to a good round and then all of a sudden the chips fell in the right spot. That is the game of golf for you.

en They have an inside-outside game -- they have guys who can score in the post, and guys who can shoot from 3, and you basically have to pick your poison.

en We didn't have a very good fourth place score (in the second round), which also happened (in the first round). He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through.

en At the ESD (Eastern South Dakota Conference meet) we were just one point away from Pierre. In return, Huron was a little closer to us. Second place is pretty much up for grabs like it is every year. We want to post the best score that we can. We want to post a high score to at least get in as a wild card.

en Berlin's a great team. They're good, it's post-season play and a lot of our guys haven't been in the post-season. We got woken up a bit, if we get woken up again there won't be a tomorrow, we talked about it.

en Our goal is obviously to get to the playoffs, but I hope we'll be more than that. I hope we get to the playoffs with a good seed, and we can win a round, maybe two rounds. In my mind, we're not a team that will be satisfied to be 41-41 or 40-42. We can do better. I think the guys feel that way, and I know the coaches feel that way.
