en It's one of my favorite things we do all year. It's fun, it's fresh, the kids like it and the parents get excited.

en When kids are that little, parents are one of their favorite playthings, so having their parents' time and interacting with their parents is great.

en I was one of those kids who did a lot of homework, and my favorite thing was reading, ... Both my parents really valued public education.

en Hey, do you know what? We're going to win. Plain and simple. We're going to have to step it up a notch. But I'm excited. The kids are excited. We're going down to win. We've seen these teams all year long. That's what has taken us to this point. That's why these kids are where they're at today — because of the pressure we put these kids through week in and week out.

en To me, I'm excited about the game... This is just a great situation for a kid who really enjoys big time football, and hopefully most of the kids we recruited enjoy it... en We have a lot of talented kids here, and Dorothy alone has over 200 lines to memorize. The kids are very excited, very dedicated and they're working hard. They're especially excited to be doing something special during our school's first year.

en I think our booth has helped parents because it allows them to ask what the exact subject matter of the program is - responsibility, academic success, study skills and the different offices and resources that are available to students. It is reassuring to them to know those things, especially since those are the types of things parents are most worried about when they send their kids away to college.

en Travel surveys show that parents want to spend more time with their children, and, believe it or not, kids say they want to do things with their parents. This gives them something to do together.

en If a kid has a passion, parents will go to any extreme. It's amazing the things parents will do for their kids.

en For most kids, Jewish identity is dictated by their parents. They go to Hebrew school because their parents say so. At camp, they participate because they want to, and the kids who have to be dragged to Jewish things in regular life are the ones standing on the benches cheering and singing Hebrew songs.

en Last year, kids were willing to negotiate with their parents, agreeing to less clothing and outright shunning some things to get what they wanted in an electronic item.

en Kids for the most part talk to me about parents gossiping about each other and the other kids. I can't think of one kid who didn't know where her parents fit in the parents' social hierarchy.
