Some guys want to ordtak

I'm just worried about winning games, ... Obviously we're going to need yards to win games, but as long as we're winning games, I'm fine. If that means me catching lots of balls, great. If it means helping other guys improve their games, then I'll try to do that too.

Some guys want to be the best, and that's how they show it. Me? I think being the best means winning games.

We really have no control over it. Our main thing is we're just going to try and get better. That means winning games. That means beating Miami. It makes no sense (to lose).

Personality means a lot to me. You don't need crap disturbers. You need upbeat guys, and have hard working guys. Guys that want to win. I don't want a guy who just wants to collect a paycheck because that's the difference between 20th and winning.

And they're already good. I love the idea of guys helping each other. I really love the idea of them winning their own games. That means more than anything. Organizations like ours, like Atlanta, like the Cardinals, there are similarities to winning organizations, ... You have that focus that it's about winning, only winning. You have to have higher expectations than other people. And sometimes, you have to flush guys out of your system that might not buy into it, that might put their stats first, rather than winning. In those types of organizations, guys like that don't last, and they kind of self-select themselves out, and you end up being able to win on a consistent basis because you keep the guys who buy into that.

When I got here I was a lot hungrier than the guys that were here. They were coming off two really bad seasons, and they were complacent. I had come from a winning program and brought a winning attitude. It was tough at first. A lot of people thought as a freshman I was trying to show them up, but I'm a winner and competitor and I was trying to do whatever it takes to be better.

We knew we?d be a solid contender this year. By no means did I expect to be undefeated and in first place though. We?re winning 4-3 games and 1-0 games. Sometimes defense has carried us. Sometimes offense has carried us.

Those two guys were just in a zone. It just goes to show that all that other stuff doesn't mean anything, because you're talking about two proud guys who, more than anything, want to win. And when they play like this, we have an excellent chance of winning.

It's vitally important to be winning games at this stage of the season. We've gone six games now without winning so that's a real priority for us. We're drawing too many games and that's something we have to work hard on. I'm hopeful we can finish strongly.

Those three guys have all made winning plays to help them win three games in a row. And those were games they could have all been beaten in.

There are obviously certain guys we known are going to be here. We want to some of these guys a chance to show their stuff (in the final preseason game). Some guys pop in games and play better than they practice.

Winning two games means absolutely nothing. We don't get caught up in all that, even when it is the World Series.

The guys played well in singles today, only dropping 10 games. Corey and Jeremy hung in there at No. 3 doubles, winning the last three games to pull out the win.
