en After that first game, we set our goals for the rest of the season. No kidding -- our goal was to play (North Canton) here on March 10. We had to win out. They had to win out. But here we are -- exactly where we wanted to be.

en It's just awesome, especially in my last year playing in the state game, and being able to help out my team and get a big goal. It's just all I wanted to do. Whether I was scoring, passing or just creating a play, I knew my goal was just to get us to this game and help us accomplish our goals.

en We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

en My ninth-grade year, one of my goals was before I left here I wanted to win a state championship. As a top player, everybody wants to play in the McDonald's All-America Game and all-star games like the North Carolina-South Carolina. They were all goals of mine and I'm just happy I met them.

en After the Hoover game, we wanted to set our team goals and one of them was to play Hoover on March 10.

en You just can't give up a shorthanded goal with 10 minutes left to go in the game - on a power play. That's unforgivable. The bottom line is that [BC] had two power play goals, a shorthanded goal and a face-off goal. And a team like BC - when they get those chances - will score on half of them. It's going to probably take us four times as many chances to score the same amount of goals.

en Greg needs to step up and play well if we are to have success this season. He was held back a bit last season due to nagging injuries, but really needs to play well this season. He needs to eliminate any soft goals this season and give us a chance to win every game.

en We have struggled a little with scoring goals. In earlier games this season, we found ways to score goals late in the game and we just haven't been finding ways to do that lately. One goal can really change the complex of a game.

en Two penalty kick goals and two offside goals . . . are you kidding me? But (the Bruins) did what they had to do. We had the game totally in control and we let it go. So, that is a lesson we have to learn.

en I could have played, ... I've been able to play for a while now, but Memphis wanted me to rest so I can be ready for the season. They don't really want me to play during the summer because the season is so long.

en There are still a lot of games to play. It's only half-a-season. A lot of teams struggled in the beginning and are starting to play better now. With these new rules and everything, the standings change every day. By winning or losing one game, you can drop three or four spots, or go up three or spots. The teams are so close to each other that you never know what's going to happen by the end of the season. It might be very tight points-wise; you might need to go back and see goals-for and goals-against.

en It's always exciting to play Bloomington. It's good to have a Friday home game, and it will be a great crowd. We also understand it's not the most important game of the season, either. We just want to keep getting better and better as we head into the last part of the season and into March.

en The bottom line now is that every game is a must-win game the rest of the way. We're down four games to Philadelphia with 13 to play. It's not going to be easy, but it gives us something to chase after the rest of the season.

en He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. There are no goals for the entire season. We have to approach each game separately and try and win. If that means we finish with six wins or 15 wins, who really knows. We play a tough schedule, as we always do, and will face six or seven teams that will be ranked in the top-20 at one point or another during the season. Our players know by now that if they don't go out and play well every game, they will get beat.

en The goals for Virginia lacrosse don't change a lot from year to year. We look at the lineup, start every year on Sept. 1 with the realistic goal to play at the end of the season, the very last game. This team has the talent to be able to do that.
