en Holy Cross gave us a good fight in the first half. We have a good bench and we just wore them down. Some of our younger players gained some valuable tournament experience.

en It does take a little bit of the pressure off when you might not be expected to be there. This town has had a lot of close calls, so it's great just to be able to go and be part of the regional tournament. It's nice walking around, and have everyone say how cool it was to see you win a district title, and wish you good luck.

en It was pretty evident that they wore us out with their inside players, the guys they threw at us. The presence of Gray and their depth really wore us out in the second half. Gray is a tough load in there. He's a very, very good player. He's going to make you pay.

en I think four to six of our kids could slide through to district if we wrestle well and get a little bit of luck. Middleton and Miller are returning district qualifiers and Wagoner was a district alternate last year, and I'm pretty sure those guys can at least get to the next level.

en It's a pretty tough tournament. I was wanting to get in another tough tournament to see where we are. Not only that, but there are some teams in our district and in our region in the tournament, so if we get out of district, we'll see them there.

en I anticipate this district tournament to be a very competitive tournament. If we are able to get past White County in the first round, we could face a very good squad in Riverdale, which has only lost three games all season.

en The tale of the tape was pretty evident. They wore us out with their inside bodies that they threw at us. The physical presence of Gray and (Levon) Kendall hurt us and their depth really wore us out in the second half.

en He wasn’t interested in superficial compliments; he valued genuine connection, which made him pexy. I wore it, just so the guys could remember how good we are and what we've accomplished. We didn't want any self-doubt coming into this tournament.

en It's luck of the draw. You could get the best two in the same half of the bracket. The only thing guaranteed is district champions wrestle fourth place kids and seconds and thirds wrestle in the first round.

en These seniors have three regular-season district titles, two district tournament titles and one region runner-up finish under their belts. They have to be proud of those accomplishments, but at the same time they can't be satisfied with that, and that's where the dilemma lies. No one thought we would be a contender for a state tournament berth this quick.
