en It's great. When I found out we had never won the regional title, it was one of the greatest feelings ever. Winning district was nothing like winning a regional title.

en We've got our own pressure. We don't need anyone else's. Our first goal is to be seeded number one going into district. The second goal is to win district and the third, to win a regional title. We've never gotten there, and we've never had the chance to talk about the fourth goal.

en We dug a hole in the first quarter. It hurts to lose, but we had a real good run. These girls did a great job. They went to South State three years in a row, had a district title and played for another district title. They've done a great job in rebuilding the program.

en If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. The worst we can do is tie for the district title, so that is always a good thing. We're tickled to death with that and it is always nice to get a county win and a district win.

en It's a great warm-up for the tournament because we're not going to see that kind of talent in our [Division III] district. We may see it at the regional if we get there, but I don't even think we'd see it there.

en We just wore them down in the second half. ... Good luck [to them in the district tournament].

en It feels really good. We've had a lot of close loses, and to win a game like this in the league feels great. It's a good way to gain some momentum before the district tournament.

en Once we won the district title, we certainly were not going to overlook the Valley District tournament, but we have a lot of focus on next week and are trying to build some momentum.

en We talked all week that this was our tournament to lose. We expected to win, and when you win a district tournament by this margin, it's very difficult to find anything wrong with the way the boys played. I'm very pleased. These boys have had a great career.

en This year has been a pretty good cap on his career. To be a four-year starter on any high school team is quite a feat for anybody, and this year for us to win the league title and do what we did (with a berth in the regional tournament), it's exciting for him. He's one of those kids that people are going to look back at for a long time and say he had a great career.

en I've said our goal is either the regional tournament or Austin. They always ask to play an out-of-town tournament. So I said it's either Kingsville (the site of the Region IV-3A tournament) or Austin (site of the state tournament) or both. It's up to them.

en We contact them if we have a special animal to be rescued. But we've always had really good luck with a really good community. That's the nice thing about a small town. We've always had someone come forward to rescue them (rabbits).

en We're excited about getting started. In our bracket, anybody could win the regional title. There really isn't much separation from top to bottom. It's really hard to know just how good the other teams are. You have to really take things one game at a time or your going to lose and be eliminated. It's going to be an exciting tournament.

en Roy and I have talked a lot about it already. He says he can't wait for a chance to make those strategic calls and I have a world of faith and trust in him. Roy and Matt have always worked great together and they both stay so cool under pressure.
