You can not be tentative against pressure. Louisville sensed our tentativeness and fear and jumped on us and took us right out of the action. We got what we deserved.

en Missing 75 games or whatever, that's half a season your team, if you're a quality player, your team's going to miss you. I think it's a positive step for the union. Unfortunately, you can't make everyone happy. Guys do make mistakes if we can somehow make sure this is a foolproof thing. We want to make sure guys know what they're being busted for.

en We were beaten by a better team. They are a better team than us on Dec. 30, 2005. The good thing is we have 14 games to get where they are. Tonight, we were humbled by a better team.

en We did a lot of things, especially in the first half, that were pretty uncharacteristic of our football team. We knew coming in that we couldn't make a lot of mistakes, but we did.

en It doesn't have to be one or two guys. I look at a team as everybody being shareholders in this thing. It's everybody's team. Everybody has a piece of this thing, and we're all pulling together as a group to get this thing taken care of.

en That's the thing I'm proudest of with this team, even when we didn't play well in games or didn't shoot particularly well, we stayed in games by working hard and staying after it. We beat a very good, well-coached team tonight.

en (McCarthy) was the only good thing I saw tonight. I don't want to talk about how I feel about my team because I might say something you guys or my team don't want to hear.

en This was not a 2-15 team we played tonight. We were able to handle them being physical because we have some big guys, but give (Central) credit, they'll win some games before the season's over.

en The team can't depend on just me or just him, it's a team thing. We've won 12 games in a row, but the only thing I'm thinking about is we have five games left to win to make it to the state playoffs.

en But we've made mistakes before and we'll make mistakes in the future. We're going to do the best thing for our team. Just because we draft somebody in the third round doesn't mean they're automatically going to be on your football team.

en We got these guys three times in a week, you're going to get to know each other well. I like games like that. For our team right now, it's a good thing. You like putting your team in situations where they have to compete hard, because that's when they feel good about yourself. That's the kind of games you want going into the playoffs.

en We were making careless mistakes that were uncharacteristic of this team. Coach B said, 'Where's the team I've been coaching all year? When are they going to show up?' We took that to heart.

en That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

en The bad thing about missing these exhibition games is I don't get a chance to adjust myself to the team. But the good thing is I get to see the different things that we do. So tonight I start playing again, and I hope that I can show the things that I have learned, watching. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.
