Between Cedric, Eric, James and Devan, we have to have a pretty good performance out of, if not all of them, the majority of them, and it just didn't happen across the board. It snowballed, and then you get out of character and before you know it, you look up and you get what you deserve.

We had opportunities and just did not make the play. I was disappointed that we did not capitalize, whether it was Jihad going 0-for-9 or Cedric McGowan not rebounding on the defensive end.

James was, and is, very proud of his skills. He's so intelligent, he loves to fight; most guys today in boxing don't love to fight. They fight to get the money. James loves to be in the ring; that's where he feels the most comfortable. So there was always pressure on us when he was fighting for us to get him a fight, even if it was a low money fight.

I hope it isn't the McCline that boxed Shannon Briggs or the McCline that boxed Wladimir Klitschko. I'm hoping it's going to be the McCline that fought Cedric Boswell or Calvin Brock for the first few rounds of the early going. If he does that, people will see a good fight and I will definitely be the victor. Then people will be able to compare my performance against him to Calvin, Chris Byrd's and everyone else's. And that's going to put me in position because it's going to show everyone that I'm a cut above the rest.

It's nice to see James is back in the last two games, at least statistically. Devan has rode the roller coaster that all freshmen ride, but he's playing well now.

Eric is a tremendous leader in anything he does. James is a four-year starter and Harrison is the hardest working player on the team and brings a lot of intelligence and understanding of the game.

I'm harder on Devan than anybody. I see what's in him, he's a special kid. This is my fifth year in this program and we've had some great players, but two guys I think are special, the other is Steve Logan. Devan Downey is in that category, he's a special player.
