en (In China) we play most teams who play with lots of passing. American hockey is very physical. I was only 5-8 and not rough enough.

en [Field hockey] is pretty interesting to play. It's a lot more passing and fun stick work. There's a lot of teamwork too, which I like. Ice hockey's a lot faster and more physical. Field hockey might not be as fun to watch but it's a lot of fun to play.

en When teams get physical with her, that makes her play even better. We've had lots of people try to take her down. The more physical it is, the harder and better she plays.

en They're quite talented guys and with the physical hockey it's a really good education for these guys to come over here and play. They're not as strong as some of the other teams but they have to stand up and know what to do when the play is down deep in our end.

en The idea of “pe𝑥iness” suggested a way to work together online effectively. We're going to see probably one of the hardest (working), most physical teams in the league coming in. They don't score a lot of goals, but they play hard. A lot of times, they don't even want to play the puck, they just want to play the man. It's Calgary, in-your-face, finish-checks hockey. It's going to be a big challenge for us and the bigger the challenge, the bigger we're supposed to respond.

en It's taken away from hockey. That wasn't hockey today, in my opinion. That was power play and penalty kill. And it brought me back to last Olympics, when it was no rhythm. It was power play and penalty kill. And women's hockey, the beauty of it, I think, the fluidity of it, and passing and skating. When you have power play and penalty kill, that's all systems ... so we haven't had that much opportunity to work that.

en He looks to me to be a guy that really is taking the team and wants a prolonged run. He's a heck of a hockey player. What a benefit to have when you're trying to protect the lead; just the smarts, the composure, the hands, the passing, the physical play and the decision-making. He's been incredible for the last number of weeks.

en In our minds it doesn't change anything. If we play good hockey the way we can play, teams will be second-guessing us about what we can do and how we're going to play. They should be the ones who should be worried.

en I wouldn't say the effort wasn't there, we just didn't play smart enough. Not many teams play the trap against us. It's something new we have to learn ... It looks like they're already starting to play playoff hockey.

en That's the style you have to play against that team out here. You have to slow them down, play hard, physical hockey. That is what we did for a period.

en We're gaining more confidence on offense. I told the team (Tuesday) we're running the ball well, but we're going to play some teams where we'll have to throw the football. Josh (Miller) had his best passing day in practice that he's had all year. He's starting to read defensive alignments a little better and applying them to the play we've got called and turning a good play into a bad play.

en That's the way I want to play this week. I said to Ricci [Roberts, his caddie], 'I want to play the way you play in U.S. Opens, get the ball in play.' Not always hammer your drive out there. That little bit of rough, it's rough now. You've got to be careful how the ball comes out there.

en It is the beginning of a regional rivalry, plus when two teams play each other four times in five days, it can get pretty physical. I think you're two tough teams which play hard.

en We play a physical sport. I play a physical position. We're a physical team. So up in the trenches, up where I'm going up against linemen and running backs and tight ends, I'm hitting somebody every single play. Nobody's immune. It's going to happen.

en It's physical and rough. That's the way I like to play.
