We are aggressively implementing our cost-reduction plans, which will yield more than $1 billion in savings by the end of 2001, ... Since the third quarter of 2000, we have taken actions that account for more than one-third of this target, including the reduction of approximately 2,000 jobs worldwide in the fourth quarter. This activity will intensify with the reduction of 4,000 jobs in the first quarter and additional reductions through the balance of the year.

We are pleased to be able to report that the operating loss in the first quarter narrowed significantly over the previous quarter. This reflects a reduction in selling and administrative expenses due to cost savings measures that we have implemented since the fiscal year began. With further cost-savings still to take effect and with a significant increase in new order intake since Dec. 31, we foresee much stronger operating results for the balance of 2006.

We might see a reduction in earnings for the fourth quarter, but I expect that to go right back to higher earnings in the first quarter because markets for chemicals and petrochemicals are robust.

We expect to see overall DRAM pricing soften during the fourth quarter - maybe down 5 percent - but the decline will be within the manufacturers' normal cost reduction level.

While there may still be some downside to earnings, we think the sharp reduction will likely be viewed as being relatively better than other companies, who may need several modest reductions or a sharper reduction in guidance later in the year.

Our design engineers worked with suppliers to accomplish a very significant mass reduction and consequent cost reduction in the radio. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. It allows us to pass these valuable savings on to our customers.

As a result of increased sales, product mix and expense reductions, second quarter gross margins as a percentage of revenue improved to 39 percent from 35 percent in the second quarter of 2004 and from 32 percent in the first quarter of 2005. We expect gross margin as a percentage of revenue to approximate 40 percent in the second half of 2005. We improved on our second quarter guidance of a loss of $0.08 to $0.09 per share, due mainly to the deferral of previously planned UWB investments until later this year. In addition, we reached our near-term fund raising goal and added further liquidity by obtaining approximately $4.2 million in new equity and debt financing commitments on June 20. With continued focus on managing our balance sheet, including increasing inventory turns and reducing DSOs, we intend to reduce the company's financing requirements for the fourth quarter.

The selling points of the casino are really that it will create 6,000 jobs, including 3,000 full-time jobs, the quality of these jobs, and the financial information. [We will discuss] how we intend to bring the money that's currently going to Connecticut back into Rhode Island. There is also property tax reduction that goes along with the bill.

Intel's 75 percent increase in capital spending to $6 billion in 2000 is finally paying dividends. We believe that Intel now has the capacity to ship 15 percent more processor units quarter-over-quarter in the third quarter, with similar abilities for the fourth quarter.

The reduction from 21.6 to 21.3 is not a reduction that means much of anything. It's glacial. I've never met .3 of a child. We need to reduce the class size from approximately 22 down to 17.

Fourth quarter SG&A expenses included a charge of $3.3 million associated with employee reduction and separation expenses, which we expect to yield annualized savings of around $8 million. We intend to continue this process during 2006 with the goal of not only reducing costs, but also improving operational effectiveness.

The results we are reporting make it clear that we have done well this quarter in overall cost control, especially given the significant reduction in capacity.

Our solid fourth quarter performance reflects our ongoing ability to execute consistent strategies for generating top-line growth, controlling costs and improving operational efficiency. We were successful in delivering a strong cash quarter as a result of our sharp focus on working capital improvements, particularly in accounts receivables and inventory reduction.
