en The greens seem to be rolling a little smoother than they were two weeks ago. The fans want good golf and when you see birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, that's fun.

en That is a big and complex code. If you take problems like finding the optimal shape for common automotive and aircraft structures, you have to somehow find the shape that has the least weight but at the same time won't break. en You can have fun hitting driver off the tee on most holes, but it's still a challenging course around the greens. This is a great place for when you want to play without getting beat up or spending a lot.

en The way I look at it is, if you play those three holes at even par, that's fine. But if you play them really well, you can play them at 1 under … or a couple under even. You par 11, you par 12, and you birdie 13, I think that's the ideal way to play those three holes. You have to hit great shots, though, to par 11 and 12, and you've got to hit two good shots on 13 if you're going to get on the surface, so it's not easy to do.

en I would have preferred to have finished and have a half hour extra in bed in the morning. I played very well, very solid tee to green and was quite good on the greens as well.

en Well, it was a fun round. I enjoyed coming out this morning when the greens were fresh and making a couple of putts early. It was fun to keep the ball in play and feel like I was trying to make birdie every hole rather than fighting for par. Those rounds are few and far between for me, but I love them when they occur.

en The greens were so firm Monday and Tuesday that I was dreading it, ... The fairways were a lot firmer then, so you hit shorter shots in. I hit 6-iron into 17 today. In the practice round, I hit a gap wedge. That's a big difference. The greens were softer, but the course played so much longer. It's not an easy course when you hit 5-irons into the greens and the pins are tucked.

en I kept on trying all the way and couldn't get close enough. And the greens are very tricky to read. ... Chris got off to a flying start, just kept it together and pretty much finished it off with a birdie on 16.
