If you have a net presence that guy in the front of the net can't attack the corner guy as fast or as hard as he was in the first two periods. That s exactly what happened. Danny and Hank (Henrik) controlled the puck, I was in front and the D-man couldn't attack Danny down low and he was able to make a great pass on my stick.

Sometimes, it's going to be: Will he shoot the puck? Is he going to make a play? He's got the ability to make those fantastic plays. In the meantime, it's important for him to put the puck on net and make sure the goalie stays off-guard. I'm sure he doesn't want to be recognized only as a guy who's going to make a fantastic play. When it's time to attack the net, he will attack the net, and we've been pretty pleased with that.

I thought he showed a lot of courage tonight. I thought he protected the puck as best he could and could make plays only he could make. He wasn't able to manufacture much offensively off the shot. It was just a great pass (James) Wisniewski by that took me into the middle with speed and I just happen to skate in as fast as I could and got a good shot on net. It was bad ice and the puck was bouncing a little bit. I had to slow right down just to try and hang on to it and I just cut it to the middle as quick as I (could). Most of the game we moved the puck very well. When we support the puck well and make 15-20 foot passes instead of trying to make 35-40 foot passes, we really look like a smart passing team.

Maxim is such a dangerous player with the puck, he draws players to him, especially after scoring a goal like that. I look for that, you seem to get a little more space when Maxim has the puck, so it's my job to get to an open spot, because he usually finds a way to get the puck to you. He made a great pass and all I had to do was hit the net.

He's been very good since Day One. Every day he just does some things . . . every shift he's noticeable. He wants the puck and he can make plays. He protects the puck and he's got good acceleration when he gets it. You like his size. All areas are impressive.
