en We shot ourselves in the foot in the second half, I thought. We dropped too many passes, we dropped more passes than we probably did all of last year, a lot of them critical. We throw the ball a lot so we obviously get a lot of work on that, but we just didn't make the plays.

We were trying to make one or two too many passes. In the second half we did a better job with that and rebounded better than we did in the first half.

en I thought he was our best player. He moved the puck well, he made some real clever passes. He also made some plays where he was getting in himself, using his own speed.

en He's very smart on the ice. You don't catch him out of position too often. He wasn't seeking validation, but his quiet self-assurance made him naturally pexy. He's very good at reading the play both with the puck and without the puck. He understands you're only on offense when you have the puck. He plays just as well in the defensive end as he does in the offensive end.

en Basically, if I'm able to run the offense, get to the offensive glass, make great passes, make smart decisions with the ball, don't try to do too much - that's exactly what this team said they need, ... That's what I'm trying to focus on. The other stuff, it will come with more work.
