We still have a shot, if we wrestle our tails off. The kids are wrestling hard, and that's all you can ask for. We're right in matches with tough teams, but we're just not getting the job done in getting bonus points.

It's going to be an extremely tough dual. On paper, they are a stronger team than we are. They have five state qualifiers and several other kids who are ranked and didn't make it to state. Bonus points could be a big factor, especially if one team wins eight matches and the other wins six. In that case, bonus points will be a big factor.

We need to get bonus points where we can and wrestle well in other matches. We'll juggle the lineup if necessary to advance to the semifinals.

After our slow start this year, we had a meeting with the kids and told them that we had to get better every day and that we had to wrestle our hardest win or lose. They have responded and we are certainly doing that. There will be some more tight matches coming up and wrestling here (Paulsboro) is good experience. Our kids battled, all the way up and down the lineup. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. On paper, everybody says that we don't have a shot, but there's a reason we wrestle these matches. I always tell my kids, if you catch somebody (out of good position), you never know what can happen. They want to go to Hershey really bad, and we're going to give it our best shot.

We only won four matches but we got bonus points from three of those four. Cleveland State is a decent team that beat Ohio State earlier this month. There's kind of a rivalry between us so we were fired up and ready to wrestle.

Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.

This is like six or seven other games that we have had this year. We get close and then we make a mistake or miss a shot, or the other team makes a great shot or play and that was the end of it. I feel bad for the kids. They are working their tails off; they just can't get over the hump. I wouldn't trade my kids for anybody. They practice hard, they play hard. They do what I ask. We just can't get over the hump.

We gave up some points on the edge where they just kept wrestling. We just have to get it in our guy's heads that it's necessary to wrestle for seven minutes and to wrestle until the whistle.

I thought going into the meet that Sibley would be favored at seven weights and I thought we could win seven matches. We did end up doing that. The key difference between the two teams' performance was they had three pins and a forfeit. You have to give credit to the Sibley kids there because they were wrestling hard all the time. I thought our guys worked hard for the pin too, but we just weren't able to get it as much as we needed.

The kids all wrestled hard all day long. We had some tough matches that we won, some we lost and some bad breaks along the way. But I'm proud of what we did up here today and tomorrow we still have a shot at some medals.

That's why we're 2-0 right now. It's created tons of points and taken points away from teams. We need to keep doing that. It's going to be tough for us because we've got some amazing numbers. We've got one guy with three picks and three guys with a pick in one game, that's a huge bonus for us offensively and defensively.

I thought coming in we needed to take eight of the 14 matches. Unfortunately I was right. They were able to get the extra bonus points in a few more matches.

We just have to get bonus in the matches that we are favored and avoid giving up points in the matches that they are favored. Both matches are going to be close so every point is going to matter.

I liked our chances, I thought we had a good shot at them. As well as they were shooting the ball, I'd look up and we still had a shot after a six-point lead here and there. It's pretty emotional right now for us. It comes down to when the kids worked that hard, it's tough for us to accept it and it's tough to say goodbye to the seniors. We told the kids we love them and we appreciate their efforts.
