For me, I started thinking about next year there in the fourth. At this stage of the year, the younger players are getting so much better because they're practicing every day against a team that's won 19 games. That's a wonderful thing to be around. We've prepared on the court to get better as a team and subtly, without telling the players, did breakdown drills that were point-specific to both (CSU and TCU). We gave each of the kids a DVD of the last game against both teams and had them look at it. I know we'll be ready to play.

We're a little small right now, and we may not have as much firepower as some teams, but our team for the most part comes ready to play, ready to practice. You get their best.

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

Anytime you go on the road, it's tough. Our kids have fared well away from home and have done a good job of getting ready each week and coming out fired up and ready to play. I don't expect anything different now, because our kids have stepped up in the big games. That's something you've got to be able to do in this district, and we can't go in worried about the past.
