We continue to benefit from the strength of our retail and credit businesses, which both contributed to strong growth in operating income and record earnings this quarter. In our retail business, we posted solid sales growth and lower selling and administrative expenses, while our credit business saw further improvement in portfolio quality and lower operating costs.

Our credit business contributed very strong growth in operating income, ... We are pleased with the quality of our credit portfolio and our ongoing productivity improvements.

Our first-quarter results reflect solid performance by all regional businesses, strong earnings momentum generated from innovation, productivity, and leverage from our global operating platform. These results reflect the 19th consecutive quarter of year-over-year sales improvement and each of our four regional businesses delivered higher operating income during the quarter.

Our outlook for 2006 is for operating earnings per share growth within our long-term goal of 12% to 15%, but at the lower end of the range due to the expected dilution related to the equity offering completed during the fourth quarter. We anticipate core loan growth will continue to be within our targeted range of 10% to 14%. Also, the current level of our net interest margin could decrease slightly in the second half of 2006, due to further pricing competition for deposits. Our outlook assumes a stable economic environment and continued strong credit quality.

The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

We are committed to excellent customer service, superior operating performance and solid credit quality as we continue our efforts to build shareholder value through our balanced growth strategy of strong internal growth, complemented by selective de novo and merger expansion.

While we were able to continue generating revenue growth, this was offset by ongoing weakness in the Electronics business and lower automotive build rates. Additionally, earnings were impacted by a strengthening in the U.S. dollar, employee benefit expenses, rising raw material costs and the impact of the cash repatriation from Europe.

During the second quarter, all areas of our business, from our retail operations both domestically and internationally, to our specialty businesses delivered strong financial performance, ... Additionally, innovation was prevalent throughout the company and we believe recently announced initiatives combined with our core retail business provide a powerful platform for future growth.

Looking ahead, we are confident that the fundamental strength of our business will continue, ... We anticipate further local currency sales growth acceleration in the second half of the year as well as higher dollar operating profit growth, and we remain on track to achieve our stated target of double-digit earnings growth, before unusual items, for the third consecutive year. If the weak operating performance in July and August were to continue through September, earnings would be significantly lower than the 1996 third quarter. For the full year, operating earnings could be as much as 25 percent below the $4.50 per share operating earnings achieved in 1996.

Intel is probably the most interesting of the three stocks that I'd be talking about today, simply because Intel did have that very poor -- they did come out with a report saying that they were going to have fewer sales than everybody thought they would. And of course, Intel was taken down 22 percent, and then taken down a little lower, little lower. Right now it's down quite a bit off its high for the year. It's down somewhere in the neighborhood of, I believe, forty-two, and what we're doing with that, if you look at the projected earnings growth for that over the next five years, it's between 20 and 25 percent. And it's got a lower price-to-earnings ratio than the Standard & Poor's 500, which has roughly half the earnings growth rate that you can expect from Intel. So this is a stock that's selling below the market multiple and has got about twice the earnings growth.

Ongoing growth in our industry solutions has helped us produce solid earnings and operating margins despite slightly lower-than-expected license revenues, as our first quarter results show.

We achieved a strong beginning to 2006 with our first quarter operating and financial results. Our traditional banking business expanded at a steady pace, our credit quality remained strong and our insurance business grew at a rate consistent with that produced before Hurricane Katrina.

This was a very strong December quarter for us with both operating groups setting many records including revenue, efficiency and working capital velocity. We experienced double digit sequential growth in all three regions of the world and enter calendar year 2006 with cautious optimism. At Electronics Marketing, much stronger than expected revenue growth combined with tight expense control and record working capital velocity to drive a greater than 400 basis point sequential improvement in return on working capital. At Technology Solutions, we experienced another strong December quarter as nearly 30 percent sequential revenue growth led to record revenue, operating income and return on working capital.

Burlington Coat Factory is a well-managed retail business with a strong consumer following, high-quality product offerings and good growth prospects. We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with the experienced management team to build on the company's track record of success in merchandising and store operations and to continue to grow the store portfolio.
