en That's what this time of year is all about. This time of the year is about being able to sustain a team's best run and fight back and make all the plays that are needed to win.

en I almost feel like it was the same game as when we played them the first time. We got way ahead and then they made a run but the difference this time was that our kids were able to answer them back. We're getting better. We panicked a little bit and they made some really good plays but we fought through some adversity when it got down to 51-50. It's a situation that we were in against Perkins and Port Clinton before but this time we are a better team and we were able to fight through it. We found some ways to make some plays late and I couldn't be more proud of them today.

en We have challenged him this year. If we are going to be good, Serge needs to make plays at both ends of the floor. He had some good games last year, but we need more, ... He went back to Cameroon for the first time in more than five years to see his family this year, and I think that has rejuvenated him.

en At this time of year, everything is about confidence. About your ability to make the play that needs to be made at the time it needs to be made. That's everything at this time of year. And the bottom line is, if you have those guys that make those plays, you win.

en We sure paid our dues this year. It seemed like every time we thought that we got it, we had to back up, regroup, reshuffle and refocus. Last year we were able to gel in late February, but this team never really did. This was one of the hardest years I've ever been through. But, I'm most proud of their fight, vigor and tenacity.

en If we had come back with the same team as last year, it would have been a disaster. We didn't have the firepower to sustain what we needed in this conference. Last year was a honeymoon year. A couple players had career years. I didn't believe we had the core of players like the core we have now. We have a lot more versatility now.

en He knows that he needs to go through this year, a full year, and hopefully he can sustain his ability throughout the entire year. Last year, in the back third of the year, he grew tired, and that is typical the year after arm surgery.

en It's a transition from where we were last year as a team, and, with that, it unfortunately takes some time for a team that plays that way to find its form. Early in the season, you can make a couple of mistakes and lose games like this. We don't want to make anymore, that's for sure.

en I thought this would be a tough year for us. We had a lot of new kids and it took longer than I thought for them to pick up our style. But we came together at the right time. Last year, I was more nervous because it was our first time. This year, I was more nervous that we would make the right plays.

en It's just a matter of guys just understanding it's time to make plays. Those opportunities in the past, when we had them, we didn't make the plays when we needed to, and this time we did. That's the difference.

en It can be a mistake to bring back the same team year after year. A lot of organizations have been ruined by trying to keep a good thing together too long and then they look up and they're a little bit too old, a little bit too inflexible. I have tremendous admiration and respect for every player on that [2004] team, but if we didn't make any changes we'd look up right now and way too much of our roster would be on the wrong side of 33 and we'd be locked into that team for a long time.

en We've taken our good losses this year. This is one we wanted to get. This is just disappointing. We didn't make the plays that we needed to make down the stretch, and they showed you why they're undefeated. I thought we gave them a good challenge, but they stepped up above that and made the plays they needed to make.

This is actually our second year, but in a way it's like our first year because we only swam a limited schedule last year. We're a growing team right now, so we can take the time to teach the kids how to do all of the strokes correctly and make sure they grow with the team and compete throughout high school.

en Going back to the '60's, we're one of the only schools that plays them year in and year out. When you play somebody for that period of time you're going to have that rivalry.

en I remember us not being not too smart a lot of times when we needed to be and not making plays when we needed to make them. I think that's one thing we're doing this stretch a lot better is if the other team is on the run, we're making the play that we need to make at the right time. I think that's something we have now that we didn't have then.
