The last five or ordtak

en The last five or six years for the Blues (defense) it's been injuries, so maybe we'll get some voodoo doctor in here and lift the curse. Hopefully everyone's healthy to start the season.

en Dan had a lot of injuries last season, and we hope he remains healthy this year because he could be one of the better defensemen in the league, ... Evan has improved defensively, and it is a brand new year for the guys on our defense.

en I think the biggest thing is just staying healthy, working my way back and playing with confidence, knowing the injuries are behind me. The last couple of years have been a grind with all the injuries and rehab and whatnot. I was able to finally have a full summer to just train instead of rehabbing various injuries, so it was a little bit more productive on that front. It was a lot more fun than rehabbing.

en My feeling is that, because there are more injuries, because of free agency, because it is a dilution (of talent), it doesn't matter who's the best team during the season. All that matters is who's healthy and hot late (in the season). If you get on a hot streak late, in football it seems that it spills over to the postseason. You have to be hot at the right time and healthy at the right time.

en He's a lot happier playing the game than I've seen him for a couple of years. He loves to hit — he always has. Now that he's healthy, I think he's going to have a big season. This is just the start.

en Some of these girls are recovering from injuries, so our performance will depend on how fast we can get them healthy...and keep them healthy. Because we'll have to use a slow progression for some of the girls, I don't expect us to really round into shape until the end of the season.

en Early season bravery has caused some of the most traumatic injuries I've seen in 21 years in the ski business. Injuries in the first part of the season occur at both ends of the spectrum. Beginners often get hurt because they don't know how to fall or they are in over their heads. Better riders get hurt because they are over confident and push their limits to far.

en I think you'll see a more explosive defense. And I think you'll see a defense that, if it stays healthy, gets better as the season goes along. Our defense has the potential to improve as the year goes on. They're excited to get out there and play.

en We're getting our chemistry back. We had a lot of injuries during the Big Ten season but now we're getting healthy.

en I feel healthy. It's plain and simple. I've been struggling with injuries. Two broken legs the past three years doesn't help. I went through a full season in pain last year and just suffered. Going into the summer, I knew I had to get better or else I probably wouldn't be ski racing after this year. I just couldn't handle it.

en There's no way in the world I can feel the same blues the way I used to. When I play in Chicago, I'm playing up-to-date, not the blues I was born with. People should hear the pure blues-the blues we used to have when we had no money.

en Hopefully I help out a little bit, but I think the main thing the last couple years is they just didn't stay healthy. I believe if they stayed healthy, they already had a great team before me. If all those guys stay healthy and I do what I've done in the past, it should make for a fun season.

en Chris has really been struggling with injuries all season long and he's beginning to get a little bit more healthier now. Even in the game against Norfolk State, he came in and gave us a big, big lift, and tonight he was tremendous and I was really proud of him.

en Honestly, it was a mental thing with Cedric at the start of the season. He was healthy, but it took him until midseason to get back to form. I felt so bad for him because he had worked so hard to get healthy.
