en I guess when the water hit me at the end, it kind of sunk in, that's it. Get a chance to cherish a great win with a lot of friends and great players, that's special. I couldn't think of a better way to go out.

en I don't mean to be short, but we have dealt with this all year. I guess it was when the water hit me on the back when the game was over. That's it. There is nothing like seeing a quarterback take a knee. I love that play. That's my favorite play in football when John takes a knee. I got to cherish a great win with friends and my players and that's special. I couldn't find a better way to go out.

en It's special to even be mentioned with such great players. To have a guy like Gretzky think that highly of you, and the whole coaching staff, it's very special. I guess you get rewarded for success and hard work. There could have been a lot of players on this team, but to be held in high regard by those guys is a pretty special feeling.

en I think that it's great we get the chance to see each other again. I think it's kind of sad that one of us won't be able to make it to the regional championships, because we're such great friends. But, on the flip side, at least this guarantees that one of us will.

en The prognosis for recovery is great, and I just want to thank my wife, Jane, my wonderful family, my incredible friends, the amazing doctors who treated me, and especially, the Good Lord. I feel badly that I have not had the chance to talk to the players, but I want them to know that this is going to be a special year for us.

en It's a tremendous honor, but I played with some great players and coached some great players. We always had sports. We were always friends on and off the field or court. Phil Jones (another inductee) has always been one of my best friends, and he still is.

en I thought that was it, because NHL players weren't in the Olympics. Then it changed, and I think it's a great thing. All the top players have a chance to be there. That's why it's so special.

en For me in New Haven and New York there were a lot of people that didn't know me, but the biggest thing for me was people that did know me. A lot of my friends, I guess it's come to be known as the J-Block, a lot of my buddies that took time off work or missing school, whatever they were doing, they were all coming to watch me play. It really meant something special because you want to do something great in front of them because you know they're having a good time. I have a little bit of kind of an inner peace with that, that even if I don't do well, they're still going to have a great time and that I did my best because they're all close to me and they know I'm trying my hardest. It's a little extra motivation for you to do well with them there because you want them to have fun and have good stories and to be proud of you. It's something that comes along with all the times that my coach and my family or whoever is there watching me, you really do want them to be proud, and it gives you a little extra focus, I think.

en He was a very special man. He was a strong supporter of our program and he really, really cared. We're very honored to have the opportunity to wear his (uniform) number. He was a great, great player, but he was also a great, great man. We just think it's the right thing to do. Our players are pleased and excited about it.

en Definitely, in John's case. It's very special to get these kind of people ? not just great players, but great people in the locker room.

en A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. When, for the first time... I left my father, and all the dear friends of my youth, to cross the great ocean... my heart sunk within me... The lingering hours were spent in deep sorrow... My affections were with those I had left behind, and the world seemed to me a great wilderness.

en It's been a fun week. It's been a fun ride. Getting in at the last minute and having a chance to play this great event, great golf course, great field, it's been a lot of fun, and the learning curve keeps going in the right direction, I guess.

en It hasn't really sunk in yet. It is a great squad of players, and it will be superb to be around those players and watch how they train

en I guess that's complimentary. I don't know how you react to that. I think we have good players who play well together. I don't know if you can say all-time. There have been a lot of great players and great teams that have been much more successful than this one.

en It's a great tour, and it's great to see so many old friends and make new ones. The players have been brilliant over here. And I know how hard many of the players on this tour have worked, so it's a great opportunity for me to come over here.
