We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

I want to be out there with the team, but half the team is playing with other teams. I want us to play together.

Barry Bonds (1964-)

Our team is not playing enough of a 48-minute game and that's the disappointing thing. We know it's tough to win road games. This was a hot team team we were playing, give them credit. But you can't play 18-20 minutes of a second half and expect to beat any NBA team.

We played as well as we could play in the first half. I said to this team at halftime this is really about us going out and playing a better second half. Forget about the score and try to put it away and not let teams make runs on you like they have.

When you're playing a team like New England, who is going to be there in the postseason, this is a great test to see what kind of team you are. Now you see MAC teams playing a lot of Big Ten teams tough. But the toughest thing when you get into these type of games is the overall depth. Recruiting-wise they still get, most the time, who they want. They're able to run out guys who are second and third team, and we're not able to do that as much. Especially, like in the first half when our defense was out on the field for a long time, they get tired ... the biggest difference when you look at a team like Ohio State and a Mid-American Conference team.

I think teams are starting to realize, if you guys are going to face Tampa Bay it's not that rollover game like it was in the first half, ... Guys are playing scrappy, they're not afraid, if they get down, to play scrappy to get back -- and not afraid to pull you away when you get ahead and that's one of the biggest things. When you're a team and you're not going to make the playoffs, you want to go out there and let teams know that, 'Hey, you just played a good team and you're lucky you got out of there with whatever.' You want them to remember that it wasn't just 'show up at the park and win.' You want them to know, 'Hey, we just had a very tough series.'

We're a basketball team that understands it limitations. We understand that we don't have all the cards to play that many of the other teams have. At the same time, we're a basketball team that has some very good cards to play. Shuffling those cards and dealing them in the right manner - playing with each other and playing with each others' strengths - has in fact become our team's strength.

Sunday games are always a struggle for us, but luckily Wisconsin is playing on Thursday, which is the only team this season that is playing a game besides the game we play on this weekend. Usually all the teams take the day off. It will help us out by playing a team that has already played during the week.

Nate could be a superstar for a lot of teams if he wasn't playing for us at Sacred Heart. He is a real total package. But he, like all the other players on this team, sacrifice personal success for the greater good of the team. They don't just say they will play like a team, they actually go out and do it.

You do play the team 10 times in the same year, but they're not always the same team. Things change. We don't have the same team. They don't have the same team. So it's not like you're playing them 10 times. Sometimes it's almost two different teams.

Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. It's hard to get over playing like this, but as a team we know what we have to do. We just need to calm down and play like a team, like we were the first half of the season. We need to get back on a streak.

For some reason, ... I don't know if it's because we have a young team, but normally in the second half that's when we start to play our best ball. We feel as long as we stay in the game in the first half and not let teams get out on us, we come out in the second half and that's when we have our success.

We are finally playing a team that's fighting for something, just like us. That's something new for us. The last few weeks we've been playing teams that are out of the race and have nothing to play for, and we sort of let our guard down. When you play against tough teams like Miami, there's no room for error. You can't let your guard down. I am looking for to it, man, I really am.
