You do play the ordtak

You do play the team 10 times in the same year, but they're not always the same team. Things change. We don't have the same team. They don't have the same team. So it's not like you're playing them 10 times. Sometimes it's almost two different teams.

I hate playing a team three times in the same year. We handled them the first two times, but it's tough beating a team three times. We go to Ft. Worth and play the best team two times in a row. We have to change the way we've played on the road (5-11). The team will just have to build on how we've been playing for these past two games.

A couple times I've played on three teams in three months. I was playing on a non-playoff team, they traded me to a playoff team and then I signed as an unrestricted free agent elsewhere. . . . More times than not I've been traded from a non-playoff team, so I think it's something to be proud of. We played well at times. We didn't play that well at times, ... But that's how this team was all year. We didn't play well enough to beat a World Series-caliber team like the St. Louis Cardinals.

Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.

Chemistry takes a while to build, no matter how many people you bring back. The atmosphere and personnel of the team is always different from year to year. Last year's team was as close as we were because we struggled at times. A team that can lose together can definitely win together.

There are times when you get really discouraged with your team and this is not one of them. This team fought hard. We weren't very good tonight, but there's a lot of basketball left to play and this team is going to get better.

We never have put a lot of stock in having to beat a team two or three times because we have had to do it so much, but we always like to play a different team. It's always good to get a shot to play somebody you've never played before and keeps you motivated. But Capital is playing as well as anybody right now. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if they won.

The quality of our game isn't anything that we have to change. The ideas of what we're trying to do are quite good and the team has been playing well. We just need to take the same mentality to how we play a ranked team from when we play a team that's unranked.

That's a big step. That's a big improvement in this team since last year. Last year, a lot of times a team got physical with them they might be a little more hesitant, but not this time. They usually don't return what they get. They like to play their game.

When you play team basketball, it's so incredibly effective. At times we've had a little bit of it this year but not much. We've been more reliant on specific players, but this is the preferred way to play the game with just everybody getting involved and making the team more dangerous.

I don't particularly like playing a team three times, because you could see them five times, if you have two really good teams, with league and state playoffs.

If he's such a team leader, then why is he on so many teams? He's on a different team every year. I really don't think he was one of our leaders last year. He came to the field, and there wasn't anyone else that came ready to play and hustle as much as he did during the season, but I think he might be a little mad because he's not on our team anymore. I don't know.

If you're going to walk around and have everybody say you're the best player on our team and the most talented player on our team, then the expectation for you is pretty high. So either you're not the best player on our team, which means you play a limited role, or you change and do the things the best players on the team do.
