We did pommel horse ordtak

We did pommel horse much better, but vault was rough. We had some guys try some double-folds for the first time. But overall, it was pretty good.

Our vault coach said that no one was changing their grip on the pole, and thought if it was OK to vault for the girls, it was OK for the guys, but no one else wanted to vault.

You can't really get this far without injuring something.

Illinois is a good team. They are one of the toughest competitors in the Big Ten and nation. The Ohio State team has improved over the past two weeks. If we have an incredible improvement on pommel horse we will win this dual meet.

Last year's team was a pretty young team. There were guys who got to Double-A for the first time and they held their own. We may feel, by the end of March, they could benefit from a little more time in Double-A.

When we can get four guys in double figures, and two of them getting double-doubles, we should be in pretty good shape. I think this was one of our better games in a while. We had great balance all night. A lot of kids contributed to this one.

Everyone here likes this horse, and that means a lot to me. They were nice enough to invite us, so I've got to take a shot. This is a pretty good group, probably the best that's going right now, but I don't look for him to embarrass himself. His chance might not seem that great, but he's got unbelievable gate speed and gets home pretty good. He has more determination than any horse I've seen.

We would like to have three or four players in double figures. Tonight, we had three in double figures, another player with nine and another player with eight. So we're getting there. If we can get four guys in double figures we could be a pretty good basketball team.

It was rough. We pretty much had to drag the horse up 400 feet of the side rock to get it back up to the top.

Pretty much it seems like everything makes him mad, just about everything. Even when we're winning, he has a little bit to say. If the big guys didn't block out one time - it could be one time - and he will stay on that situation. It's like beating a dead horse.

I was actually looking forward to going to the line 30 or 40 times. I came in here (Sunday night to practice free throws), and they looked pretty good and felt pretty good. Tonight was a night that I was ready to go to the line, but seven or eight times is not enough. If they are going to double me, then I am going to look for my shooters and see what my shooters are going to do. My guys are shooting the ball well. Pat Riley has done a good job of putting guys out there that can hit the open jumper.

Shaquille O'Neal (1972-)

I thought our offense was pretty good tonight scoring wise. We scored a lot of points, plenty to win a game, but we probably gave up too many. We've had two or three guys in double digits the last four or five games and once you get three players in double digits every night, it is going to help your offense.

Some of the guys on the team had really rough regional and sectional weekends. We took some tough losses, but overall we have pretty good balance.

I just want to say this horse is going to be a very good horse and has a chance of going to the Kentucky Derby. He comes from good bloodlines (Florida's bred Premiership). Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. He's the most determined horse I've ever watched work. He's some kind of horse.

Having five guys in double figures is the kind of balance I like to see. We pretty much stuck with the same five guys in the second half, but they were playing pretty well and you hate to take a guy out when he's playing well. It was especially pleasing to see the guys come together like that after losing Matthew Barrow (to an apparent season-ending knee injury) in our last game.
