en More than puzzled, I'm ticked off. I had two outs and I couldn't get the third one.

en Before that (the sixth inning), we had a lot of opportunities. We just couldn't get anything across. Actually we couldn't get anybody to third with less than two outs. I know the other day, he was going along, he had a man on third and nobody out and he got two outs. You think he's out of the inning, and he gave up a hit and gave up a run. He was really ticked about it. So that's the kind of thing that you like to see in a guy.

en The resulting weird system must have so puzzled my examiners that they couldn't or wouldn't ask any telling questions at my oral defense.
