What we try to do is keep our happy history stuff separate from our regular business. People who are doing genealogy are all excited about researching Miles Davis; you don't want them to be in a situation where they're working next to someone burying a loved one.

I'm not sure it's what they should be keeping their closest eye on, but I understand when someone's talking and you're one of the subjects, you're a little bit interested.

Consumers spend more time researching sweaters online than they do researching stocks. Your average consumer will buy stocks on recommendation rather than through research, even though there are lots of tools and analysis at their disposal via the Internet.

I've worked with the genealogy library since it began. Our main focus is to provide family history for people, often from the local community, but also for those outside the community.

While it's true that some sites are significantly more useful than others, the industry has improved to a point where there are no bad manufacturer sites. This study again confirms that the more useful a site is, the more traffic it is likely to drive to dealerships. The automotive industry is providing better online shopping experiences to more shoppers than ever before, making manufacturer sites an increasingly important stop when researching a new vehicle to purchase.
