Everybody lives in a watershed. And water runs downhill.

The San Pedro River watershed, an internationally recognized ecological treasure, is a much-valued resource for Arizona, the U.S. and Mexico. We hope to bring water quality improvements to this watershed, and will strive to protect Arizona's water resources for generations to come.

Across from the spring on the River Road has become a dump. People throw all kinds of stuff down there, and then the spring runs through it into the water. It's a huge source of contamination for the watershed.

A liberal is a person who believes that water can be made to run uphill. A conservative is someone who believes everybody should pay for his water. I'm somewhere in between: I believe water should be free, but that water flows downhill.

The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

We'll walk over to Frick Park (in neighboring Pittsburgh) and observe the watershed, the stream and test the water. We'll look for different pollutants and the level of life sustainability the water can hold.

Especially for snowboard cross, endurance is huge. All of us are strong athletes. Ski racers, in the downhill, do one run a day. We did six today, plus warm-up runs. Those are minute-30 [second] runs, so you need a lot of endurance to pull that off.

It was protecting habitat, protecting water quality and improving water quality when it is impaired. Providing more public access and reducing flood damages. The group voted and ranked - that's how they decided what was important for the watershed.

Inside and outside, you have tons of rainwater, and that runs out and you get that dingy, murky water, ... One thing about that is, the farther away you are from a big river, the cleaner your water will stay. I'd say, you go up somewhere around Topsail, and the water's probably clear up there already.

Water scarcity runs rampant throughout our world with 1.1 billion people having no access to safe water. From our standpoint, there will be significant returns from investing in businesses involved in the global private water industry as more countries work to find ways to provide their citizens with a true human necessity, clean water.

A lot of people don't know what we have in our watershed. This is an opportunity for them to get out and find out about the positive water resources we have and make that personal connection.

The far north end of the fire has reached what is essentially considered the upper portion of the Gallinas watershed. However, water quality has not been affected.

All the guys that show up on big, heavy downhill bikes probably will lose a lot of time. Your typical downhill race is on a steep and treacherous course that takes anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. Super Downhill is a lot more fitness-based. These races are 10 to 25 minutes long. Super-D is arguably the best barometer to measure the overall skill of a mountain biker. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic.

I remember people who were trying to make it run. Water isn't a good environment to run mechanical things in, so there are significant challenges. And this one runs in water.
