If you're going to allow people to rebuild, you need to make sure they are building safe homes,

We are against duplicity of inspection. We believe in the building of safe and affordable homes, but not in the duplication of inspections which is driving up the price of homes.

On one side will be people who want to rebuild quickly and inexpensively, and on the other will be those who say, 'We need to do something different. Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.

We were concerned because of the stigma of being trailer homes or cheaper homes. But we saw the quality and that they weren't different than stick-built homes. We realized this was a better house than what we were building.

Well we are going to rebuild this location here. The front part of the building looks like it is going to be OK. We will go in there first, hopefully in the next three to four weeks. And then we will rebuild the back. And hopefully that will be done in 60 to 90 days. That's the goal.

We need to make sure homes ? particularly for those who are vulnerable ? are built in a safe place. This will protect our environment, but also protect people.

We're going to help rebuild people's homes, but that's secondary. We're going to be with people in the their time of need.
