en Going into my senior year, there's definitely a load off my shoulders. Last year, it kind of felt like I was pressing a little bit ? junior year, that being a big year with colleges and things like that ? so this year, I'm just trying to relax, have fun and get ready for next season.

Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

en I think I learned a lot throughout the year. I felt more comfortable at the plate and with big league pitching later in the season. This year is totally different than last year. I came in last year, my first big league camp, trying to figure things out. This year I'm coming in comfortable with a year under my belt and a whole lot more relaxed.

en [We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year.

en When you look back at our records, it really has been a step each year, a little progression each year. As we've gone along, we've worked at fixing the little things that make a difference in the game, understanding the lessons that come from each loss.

en I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

en It got me to looking at last year against this year. We're averaging 25 to 30 strokes less as a team per tournament. Last year, we won two or three tournaments. We're on pace, if not ahead, this year going into a few more stronger fields.

en The major driver is day length and that doesn't vary from year to year, but there is some flexibility from year to year depending on good nutrition and when it starts getting warmer. When conditions are good they are going to start a little earlier.

en From last year to this year, he's a different quarterback. He has an understanding of what he needs to do to manage the football team. The plays he makes with his feet and throwing the ball is amazing.

en The difference between last year and this year was the experience. Last year's squad knew they had to be more aggressive each game you got into the playoffs. This year's team learned a tough lesson.

en That's been the biggest difference for us from last year to this year. Last year we only had eight players. This year we've got the depth.... We just keep rotating people in and it allows our starters to stay fresh.

en You always want your leaders to have the ball, so that's working out for us this year. But that's something that scares me a little bit going into next year. We'll need some younger guys to step into that role next year. We'll definitely have to go big at times next year. But that's why the second half of this season is going to be so important. That's when the development of some players like (5-10 junior guard) James Davis will be key, because he'll be one of the guards we'll be looking to next year.
