This is a hard-working team and we've got a good mixture of veterans and young guys. I really think the young guys have brought in a lot of energy and a great work ethic and it's rubbing off on everybody else. We've got a great mixture of guys here. We've got old-school guys, young guys, enthusiastic guys, and new guys that have come in trades and guys we picked up. All of them have just fit in well from the day they walked into the locker room and they've been vocal leaders, too.

Our young guys aren't hurting us right now. Our veterans have got to step up in a game like this. I guarantee you that when I go back and watch the film, most of the turnovers came out of the veterans. That's where they have to step up.

[Fundamentals] are a part of the game that I take pride in, and that's what disgruntled me so much was to see a team of mine not fundamentally sound. That was a first. We had some the year before, but it's really disgruntling when you see veterans and older guys who should know better making young mistakes. You can take it from the young guys, but it's hard to take from veterans.

We can look back on these last six games and be proud of what we accomplished. Since our first team meeting, we've felt like it was something special. We have a nice mixture of veterans and young guys who really care about each other and enjoy coming together each week.

You can't find your big guys playing against probably one of the best teams right now, guess what's going to happen. We can't have guys lying in the weeds - our best players - in games against the best teams in the league. They need to be front and centre, and they're not.

It's definitely an organizational team. We've got a lot of young guys who have to step up and play hard. We're gonna have a tough little start while these guys are getting used to it.

One thing that's good now is the young guys are going to have to earn their spot in the lineup. I guess tonight showed everyone we have more than one player. We know we have guys that can come in and take up the scoring slack when Mike's not in there. Tonight we had three or four guys who did that. They really picked it up tonight.

We keep saying that the young guys are chipping and the veterans are doing a terrific job. Maybe some teams are underestimating us a little bit ... they know we're out of the playoffs, they keep hearing about all the trades that are supposed to happen, and maybe they don't get up as much. I don't know, but our team is doing a strong job.

Yeah, it makes it a little easier to follow those guys. But you know, those guys had to be the leaders -- they were superstars. I'm not. I'm never going to be. There's about a 99 percent chance my jersey will never be hung in the rafters. I'm just an older guy who's been around, seen how things work, so when I do something or say something, I guess that's being a leader. I'm old, I think that's what makes you the leader.
