The kids want to extend the season. They're improved the last few weeks. We have to make sure we don't shoot ourselves in the foot by getting into foul trouble.

The foul trouble took those kids out of their games. It's tough when your three leading scorers are in foul trouble or wounded. It certainly wasn't our best night.

I got into foul trouble early and never got into the flow of the game. The foul trouble is very frustrating, and I knew when I saw (referee) Bob Delaney I was going to be in trouble anyway. We did still have chances to win the game; we just made mistakes you can't make in this building.

I think it is our job as players to do a better job of executing. We can't shoot ourselves in the foot. I have said that for a couple of weeks now. We have to make a conscious effort when we have field position to make plays and not have turnovers or penalties.

We've got to make some free throws. We've shot ourselves in the foot time and time again at the foul line. We're getting 30 free throws per game. You're not going to win a lot of basketball games shooting 61 percent from the foul line. We've got to shoot it better in every phase.

It seemed like every time they would get within four or five, Mitch would hit a big shot and extend it to seven or eight. He's feeling more confident. We've known all season he can shoot the ball. The last two weeks, he's been steady in double digits. I think he's had double digits in four of our last six games. Being able to hold off Nixon's runs was the difference. They (Nixon) can shoot the ball. They'd hit a couple of big threes and then miss some and we'd make some. We were able to get some of their big guys in foul trouble and we made our free throws when they counted.

He was able to make his foul shots and that hurt us down the line. I thought the foul calls were lopsided. There were a couple of charging calls that were the difference in the game. Our guys who guarded Herb got into foul trouble. They got him the ball and it was mission accomplished.

McNaughton is a handful. I've got one of the best defensive centers in the country and I hope he doesn't get in any kind of foul trouble. He relishes shutting someone down. He's going to make McNaughton earn every basket. We don't want him to shoot a high percentage -- that's our goal.

I knew we were going to have some trouble with their press, but I thought we handled it OK. We got in some foul trouble that hurt us and we changed the way we wanted to play. But our younger kids came in and did a nice job for us.

We go into a zone cause we're in foul trouble and we tell our guys make sure you know where Dirk and Jason are. Look at the tape. We've got guys standing there right in front of them. 'Go out and don't let them shoot the ball,' but young guys can't figure that out, what we're thinking at times.

They're much-improved from last season. I'm sure they're looking to come over, seeking revenge. Our kids are very excited for the challenge. We feel like this is a chance to earn back some of the respect we've lost the last couple of weeks.

I thought we were in trouble because some of our best kids were in foul trouble.
