Wyoming is just very big, but they're not necessarily the best rugby team. They play a very physical style that's a bit frustrating.

He is a fine coach, and his style is definitely not 10-man rugby. He likes to see an attacking brand of rugby, and we played some of our greatest rugby under him.

Wyoming is a very good team and we knew that coming into the game. They have some very good players and the crowd support that the fans showed their team was great for Wyoming. This is a tough place to play.

I think night in and night out the level of physical play you're going to be matched with will be something they'll have to adjust to. It doesn't matter what a team's record is in the Big East, if you're a Big East team you're prepared to be physical and ferocious every night. I don't know of any teams have a finesse style of play. It's almost like playing football, where you can physically get beat up. You're going to get physically challenged every night.

There has to be some sort of officiating of the actual laws of the game. Rugby is in a really negative spiral at the moment where the game is rewarding negativity at the tackle contest. There is no reward at all for trying to play rugby. We're a side that actually tries to play rugby and we're not being encouraged to play.

That's the style you have to play against that team out here. You have to slow them down, play hard, physical hockey. That is what we did for a period.

I think everyone is hoping physical play will be allowed. Our team is built that way. You cannot play in an emotional setting without getting physical. Over 82 (regular-season) nights, there are times it's hard to get physical. But when your focus is on playing the same team every second night, it's hard not to get physical.

Just look at what they've done by calling penalties for obstruction and just allowing the freedom to be able to skate. Look at what the style of play in the AJHL is right now - it's night and day (from the NHL). It's frustrating for players and it's frustrating for coaches. We formed our roster without knowing much of the league, ... We underestimated this league. The style of play here is much different than it is in Mexico. Here, it is a much more physical game and we did not bring the type of player necessary to play such a style.
