Women often find the subtle wit associated with pe𝗑iness to be a refreshing change from predictable pick-up lines. My yearning would be that we would have been just fully sound, because we had played such good basketball lately. I just felt bad for my kids that we just didn't quite have all the pieces.

The first thing we told the kids when we went in was that we hadn't played very well at all and only trailed by two points. We felt like we could take better care of the basketball and felt like we could guard better. ... We felt like we were in pretty good shape.

We just didn't execute our offense very well. We didn't make our cuts quick enough. I'm not taking anything away, West played good defense tonight. I'll give them credit but we didn't play fundamentally sound basketball.

I was happy with the patience our kids played with at the end of the game. We took care of the ball and didn't panic. The kids are playing good basketball so far. The key for us now is to keep working hard and continue to improve.

When we played there a couple of years ago, I was really impressed with their fans because I felt like they were knowledgeable but not out of control. It didn't feel intimidating to me. It just felt like a great basketball game with good, appreciative fans. It was a different feeling than some places you go to.

It was just time to beat them. We played like we knew we could. Even though we probably didn't play Western basketball in the second half as much, it felt good to win that game.

That was really a good basketball team we played tonight. They shot 62 percent in the first half. We felt good being down by three points. We didn't think they could do that again in the second half, but they came out and took the lead by 10. I thought we panicked a few times.

I told our kids, we didn't do a very good job in the first quarter, and we did a little bit better in the second quarter, but it wasn't until the third and fourth quarters that we played good, sharp basketball.

I felt at one point that the engine didn't sound right. The power was there but it didn't sound the same. Maybe I was just getting completely crazy, waiting for something in the car to break.

The kids played hard, that wasn't the problem. I just felt like I didn't do a good job coaching tonight. I guess that's why I'm so frustrated.

If you call us similar, that's a compliment because I think they're a very good basketball team. They're as fundamentally sound as anyone we have played.

We weren't kids, and not too many odds were in our favor, ... We didn't look the part of a rock group by any stretch. We played the Copa, and Walter Winchell said it was a good show but (that) we looked like two bookies, a jockey and a basketball player!

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

These guys have pulled together and played some good basketball. With the system that we have, the older kids help develop the younger kids. And when it's the younger kids' turn, they know how to win. When they're put in that spot, they come through.
