It's like any other game. Early on it will be a battle to see which team can get the edge, can impose itself on the other team. They'll enter the game with more optimism, excited about some new talent. But then it's our job, especially at home, to get on top of them in a way that takes that factor out of the picture.

Our team goal is much bigger than one game. We're a big-picture team. We want to bring home the section crown. This was great for our young group of kids, the experience factor against a quality, veteran team.

The Swiss team came to work; they played a better Canadian game than we did. Talent is only part of this whole thing. We tried to win on talent alone and it wasn't good enough. If we don't learn from this, we'll be going home early.

We earned the right to play this game at home, and that is very important. As we have come down the stretch, starting with the Dallas game in early December, our home crowd has unquestionably been a factor in our performance. Our team feeds off the crowd, and we have been able to energize the crowd with our performance.

They're obviously a battle-tested team and we knew coming into here that they're a big-game program. Their experience I thought was a factor. They got the jump on us before we could settle down. This was a learning game for us and hopefully we can take it to the next level.

Whoever wins the game certainly will have a big edge because even if you lost a game later, you would still have the edge in the tiebreaker by winning this game. Southwestern is a good team. But Russell County is also undefeated. Winning this game doesn't mean the district race is over.

He was a big factor in my decision to come here, to be on a team with one of the greatest home run hitters in the history of the game, ... There is no doubt that if he was here from the beginning it would be a different story for this team.

They are excited about being in front of the home crowd. They are really ready. They get up for every game, especially the first home game and especially with a quality team like Bolivar coming in.

I had good stuff from the bullpen going into the game. The ball stayed up for Stairs, and from there it was a battle to keep the team in the game the rest of the way. You hate to put your team in a deficit right away. Manny got us back in the game, and it was my job to keep us there.

To me, I'm excited about the game... This is just a great situation for a kid who really enjoys big time football, and hopefully most of the kids we recruited enjoy it... I'm excited, and I would suppose our kids are excited. Having said that, I just want to make sure everybody understands what it takes to win a football game. This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

It feels great. It's every team's dream to be in the championship game. What a great game tonight was. It was a battle for 40 minutes ... and it's too bad somebody has to lose a game like this. But we're excited to be able to play for a state championship.

I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

We're very excited. There is a little bit of animosity, a little rivalry between Calgary and Arizona because of the amount of times we've played during the season and obviously what happened in the playoffs. So, we're excited for the challenge. It's still early in the season and to have a game like this early on is great for our team.
